What kinds of herbs could I include in my landscaping that would be attractive, yet practical? I would like to use some for edging around bushes and flowers if possible. What do you suggest?
Mints Any of the mints are good, but they do tend to get out of control if you're not careful about training them to stay where they're planted. I like them because I can put them in ice cubes and serve them with iced tea and lemonade. They are easy to grow, too.
Mint is a good idea, but lavender would also look nice. You can dry the lavender out, and make some wonderful homemade potpourri. There are a variety of sage plants you can use. Some sage has a whitish color, and Russian sage will throw some purple splashes into your flower beds.
My sister grows herbs now, and I know mint is part of that and parsley, but I am not sure what else she grows. I have considered starting an herb garden but have not yet done so.
