Just had a clay brick paver walkway installed. Our contractor applied two different applications of traffic bond 3 inches compacted, another 3 inches compacted again. Laid clay pavers over the top, followed by application of polymeric sand, just swept sand, no compacting as he indicating the clay brick pavers break easily. Noticing some loose bricks, rubbing of bricks together. Bricks are very tightly laid and the contractor tells us this will settle in a couple of weeks. Is this normal or should we be concerned? He used Alliance G2 polymeric sand which we were told does not bond to itself, therefore unsure if a second application of polymeric sand could be applied to firm the pavers up?
