I have seen some pretty cool solar lights when driving around town. People have them going up their trees and along their fences. I want some of these solar lights (string of lights). Anyone own them? Are they expensive?

There are many kinds of these lights and some work better than others. I have to find ones that work for my set up, but I continue to be hopeful.

I haven't seen a ton of them. Where are you looking and what are the prices that you see out there? I'm thinking I can look at Lowe's tomorrow to see what they have. I bet they will be expensive there though.

    Now I'm interested

I haven't noticed them, but I will definitely start looking. The idea of a line of lights around my back yard, especially if they are solar powered, really does appeal to me. I can't wait to spy my first set.

I do not think I have seen solar powered lights on strings. I always see the ones you stake into the ground, and those range in prices from cheap to expensive. I think I will keep an eye out for the stringed lights, because I have a few places in mind to use them.

I've seen them at people's houses. Some are shaped like dragonflys and some are just little bulbs. We went to a party once and this lady had them all over her back yard. They were on her fence and up her trees. I didn't know her well so I did not ask her where she bought them. I know they exist, just need to find them in a store.

I tell people to save a few old solar garden lights, for black out lanterns, with an alkaline they run a very long time, and you mind if the battery leaks, it is a good to hang on to old alkalines, past their “use by” date.

I have tried several sets of garden lights that have lasted one season only. Do members have experience with good quality lights that are likely to last for more than a year or so, and perhaps are even made in.

Solar lights at the stairs will be wonderful and useful too. At night it can provide a clear view as well as beautiful effect.
